While this version did have a more robust sound, it also didn't work well with the final cut of the scene as it was too busy for a scene which is mostly just a single shot of a persons back.

I had originally planned on shooting additional footage to match the music in which David is going through the apartment frantically before he sits down, but I did not foresee myself moving out of that apartment. It was mine and it was actually a second floor apartment in Tucson and when David/Me opens the door you can hear the neighborhood kids playing loudly in the original unedited footage. I did manage to sneak in a few things shot from my next place several states over, luckily because I had the same couch and got creative with framing, so aside from the two major shots in that scene featuring the sliding glass door, everything else was filmed somewhere else like three years later. The magic of film.
